ALL HOUSE

PLANTS (vegetables):

At AYAMANS HOME, there are 6 plants of different varieties. They are all watered on the same day to avoid watering them every day (check if the soil is wet or not and if it is not, water all of them).

Watering the plants is not mandatory, this is usually done during cleaning, but if you stay in the house for more than 1 week, I would appreciate if you could water them. (There is a plastic jug in the first door of the terrace that I use to water the plants, I put half of the jug in each plant)

ANTS:

We have recently been finding some ants in the kitchen. We kindly ask you not to leave food out in the open. It's better to store it in the fridge or in a container.

AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING:

The house is equipped with air conditioning on the first floor and underfloor heating on all three floors. Only one system can operate at a time, so depending on the season, either system will be used. To switch between systems, it is necessary to visit the house and adjust the equipment easily.

HOT SEASON:

During this season, the air conditioning is available. You can adjust the air conditioning temperature using the remote control found in the bedroom. As a general rule, since the house is powered by solar panels that supply energy only during sunlight hours, the air conditioning is programmed to turn on at sunrise and turn off at sunset. The recommended comfort temperature is 26-27 °C.

On summer days, heat tends to accumulate on the top floor. To lower the temperature quickly and efficiently, you can follow this economical and sustainable method:

• In the morning, when the outdoor temperature is cooler than indoors, open all blinds and windows to refresh and ventilate the house. This process only takes a few minutes. Then close all windows and blinds to block the sun during the hottest hours.
• In the afternoon, when the sun is less intense, repeat the process: open windows and blinds until the indoor temperature becomes more comfortable.

COLD SEASON:

During this season, underfloor heating is available. You can manually adjust the temperature of each floor using the thermostats located on the walls (the bedroom thermostat is behind the frame next to the stairs). As a general rule, the underfloor heating will generate warmth from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. During the remaining nighttime hours, the achieved temperature will be maintained. The recommended comfort temperature is 21-22 °C.

GROUND FLOOR

ENTRANCE:

Before entering the house, you should open the entrance blinds. To do this, move the lower and upper latches. Just before entering, you will see a doormat under the security box that you can use (to keep the house clean, I recommend using it).

Once inside the house, you will have disposable slippers at your disposal.

BLINDS:

The blinds on the ground floor (different from the main entrance blinds) are opened as follows:

The lower and upper latches should be moved to unfasten them from the top and bottom. Some panels have a handle that should be turned to open them. Then the blind can be opened freely.

Pay special attention to the kitchen blind, as a pulley system has been installed to open and close it without having to climb on the stone sink. It is used as follows:

• To open, simply grab the rope from the side of the sink and pull it until the blind handle turns and becomes free.
• Then go outside the house and finish opening the blind that has latches.

PAVEMENT OF FLOOR:

It is a polished concrete floor, and if any liquid that can stain (like wine) spills, it should be cleaned as soon as possible to prevent the stain from becoming permanent.

TELEVISION:

There are two methods to turn on the television:

1. With the remote control, by pressing the top button.
2. With a button located at the bottom right, silver-colored and curved.

If the TV loses the Wi-Fi connection, follow these steps:

1. Look behind the TV (on the left side) and find a white oval accessory (Google TV).
2. Disconnect the cable farthest from the TV that is connected to Google TV.
3. Wait 5 seconds.
4. Reconnect the cable.

FIREPLACE:

To use the fireplace, you will need to light it with a lighter or matches, along with a quick-lighting fire starter, which you will find in the basket. It's possible that some of the logs may be damp, and you'll know this because they will continue to smoke until they dry out. If this happens, open the windows and doors to prevent the smoke from accumulating on the ground floor.

During the cold season, there will be firewood next to the fireplace, but if you need more firewood, you can find it in the workshop in front of the house.

GARBAGE:

If you don't want to accumulate trash in the kitchen, you can leave the trash in their respective bags inside the workshop in front of the house. It opens with one of the keys on the keychain.

The last day, I will request you to leave all the trash in the storage room.

COOKTOP: (glass ceramic)

To use the cooktop, you basically need to:

1. Press the power button, keeping your finger on the button (you will hear a beep, and all the burners will show zero).
2. Press the button of the burner you want to turn on, keeping your finger on the button (you will hear another beep, and only the selected burner will light up).
3. Press the button, keeping your finger on the button, for + to turn it on to maximum power (9) or press the button for - to turn it on to medium power (4).
4. To turn off the cooktop, press the power button, and you will see that the burners that were on indicate an H for Hot, to indicate that they are hot.

DISHWASHER:

The dishwasher is used as follows:

1. Open the dishwasher to insert the washing tablet and rinse aid (if necessary).
2. Place all the dishes and cutlery.
3. Press the power button (right button located at the top of the dishwasher door has a power symbol).
4. Press the program button (P symbol).
5. Close the dishwasher door.
6. If you have forgotten something, you can open the dishwasher and place it even if it has started cleaning.

TAP KITCHEN:

The kitchen tap has hot water, cold water, and osmosis water.

The lever is for hot and cold water.

For osmosis, you need to press a large button on the opposite side of the lever.

The kitchen tap has two modes of water flow, in small jets or a large jet. To choose the mode, turn the silver piece near where the water comes out.

SMOKE DETECTOR:

If the smoke and CO detector emits sounds (located in the kitchen), you need to check if there is a fire in the kitchen; if there is, you must grab the fire extinguisher from the entrance and spray it against the flames. Once the fire is out, you need to open the windows and doors on the ground floor as quickly as possible and leave the house until the smoke is eliminated.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER:

I hope you don't need to use this; the usage instructions are indicated on the fire extinguisher itself.

FIRST FLOOR

BLINDS:

All the blinds on this floor are sliding. They can be easily opened by sliding them to one side. They should be either fully open or fully closed to prevent noise if it's windy.

PAVEMENT OF FLOOR:

It is a solid parquet floor. If any liquid spills, it can stain or swell the floor. It is necessary to clean it as soon as possible to prevent permanent stains or swelling. Be particularly careful around the bathtub and the bathtub faucet area.

BATHTUB:

The bathtub has normal usage, with special attention to not spill water outside the bathtub to prevent the parquet from swelling. If water spills, it is necessary to dry it. You can lift the bathtub slightly to dry the area properly. If you let me know there is water on the parquet, I will come to lift and dry it myself without any problem ❤️

Small drops that may fall on the parquet can be dried after using the bathtub.

The faucet has two levers:

• The upper lever should not be moved as it directs the water to the high spout or the shower, but the shower is disabled to avoid problems with water.
• The lower lever is for selecting hot and cold water.

The wooden tray on the bathtub is designed to withstand water, so there is no problem if it gets wet.

SINK:

The sink area consists of two ceramic basins on a wooden cabinet. The wooden cabinet is waterproofed, although it is advisable to avoid excess water. Pay attention to water accumulating behind the basins where it is not visible.

BIDET (WC SHOWER):

Both toilets have a shower to use in the toilet. It is a hot and cold water shower that needs to be pointed inside the toilet bowl, then move the lever to choose hot or cold water, and finally press the button located just behind the shower with your thumb.

The shower has two modes of spraying water, in small jets or a large jet. To select the mode, turn the black piece near where the water comes out.

SECOND FLOOR

BLINDS:

All the blinds on this floor are sliding. They can be easily opened by sliding them to one side. They should be either fully open or fully closed to prevent noise if it's windy.

PAVEMENT OF FLOOR:

It is a solid parquet floor. If any liquid spills, it can stain or swell the floor. It is necessary to clean it as soon as possible to prevent permanent stains or swelling.

SOFA BED:

To use the sofa as a bed, you need to move the sofa a bit away from the wall and extend the supports located on the backrest according to the following video:

Once the two supports are extended, simply pull the backrest and then push it down to align it with the seat.

To return it to its original position, do the previous movement in reverse. Hide the supports according to the following video:

PIANO:

To use the piano, remove its cover and press the power button on the left side of the piano. There is a jack for connecting headphones if you want to play without making noise. Please put the cover back on after use.

PUFFS:

During the summer season, there will be 2 puffs available for use on the terrace to sunbathe. Please use a towel on top of the puff to avoid getting it too dirty. The two Menorcan chairs and the table can be folded and set aside to make space for the puffs on the terrace. After use, please bring them back inside the house to prevent excessive dirt from exposure to the elements.

WASHING MACHINE:

To use the washing machine, use the provided detergent and softener located to the left of the washing machine. The recommended program is "Quick 30" for lightly soiled clothes. Instructions in the following video:

DRYER:

To use the dryer, the normal program is "ECO". Instructions in the following video:

IRON:

You can find it in the upper cabinet on the terrace, in the rightmost door. The ironing board is also there.
